Assistant Controller

Assistant Controller – 18 Month Contract

Responsibilities

• Lead the consolidation and review of monthly and quarterly financial results under IFRS.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, MD&A, and external reporting disclosures.
• Analyze financial results, variances, cash flows, and complex accounting matters to support accurate reporting.
• Research and apply IFRS guidance for new and complex transactions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and business units to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Coordinate quarterly reporting, support external audits, and maintain effective internal controls.
• Drive process improvements, reporting enhancements, and finance system initiatives.
• Mentor junior team members and promote continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required.
• Strong IFRS and public company financial reporting experience.
• Experience preparing consolidated financial statements and MD&A.
• Knowledge of SOX/internal controls and external audit processes.
• SAP or other major ERP experience preferred.
• Mining or other multi-entity industry experience is an asset.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Salary
$140,000/Year
