Responsibilities
- Lead the coordination and management of all project controls activities, including cost control, change management, forecasting and progress tracking for construction projects.
- Establish and maintain the project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), ensuring control systems are configured in alignment with the project controls plan using approved budget data and appropriate cost codes.
- Prepare and update construction progress scorecards and cost reports to support project performance tracking.
- Review and verify the accuracy of daily timesheet coding; provide cost coding for procurement requisitions and subcontractor invoices.
- Oversee the change management process, including the development and submission of change proposals for client approval and the maintenance of the change log.
- Apply extensive site‑based project controls experience across Lump Sum, Unit Rate, and Reimbursable contract models.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting while maintaining data integrity across all project controls functions.
- Represent the Project Controls team in meetings with internal project teams, clients and subcontractors.
- Organize and lead monthly cost review and change management meetings.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Controls within the Construction and Oil & Gas sectors.Engineering Technology Diploma or Engineering Degree preferred but not mandatory.Strong background in cost control and forecasting.Proven ability to generate detailed progress and cost reports.Familiarity with estimating and project controls software tools.Field experience in Project Controls with a construction contracting company in Oil & Gas is an asset.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to manage complex issues under pressure across multiple projects.Benefits
