This role is located in Calgary, Alberta and there are no remote options outside of Alberta.

This is a superb opportunity to become a Member of our CGI-Calgary team providing leading information technology services to our clients. We are seeking a senior Java full stack developer, with quality and detail to build and maintain the corporate client platform on a wealth management suite of applications. The candidate will be actively solving production code issues and performance tuning and enhancement with upgrades and hygiene changes over the applications.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• . Investigate production code breaks and implement the solution.
• . Drive software design, architecture, and development at a detailed level.
• . Design and build core system components.
• . Review code and establish rules and guidelines to help developers.
• . Face off directly with business and operations staff, as well as partners within IT.
• . Review and participate in the specification of business and technical requirements.
• . Review test plans and work with partners in QA and UAT to ensure testing is proceeding correctly.
• . Provide good time / effort / cost estimates, often from less-than-perfectly-specified requirements.
• . Participate in interview process and hire strong developers.
• . Provide guidance and supervision to team members, helping them grow their skills and further their careers within the firm.
• . Keep the team motivated and engaged.
• . Plan, assign and track work within development team.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

"CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000 - $140,000."
