Job description

Position Summary :

The Paint Supervisor plans, prioritizes, coordinates and directs the work of the paint team. They will manage workloads and lead the paint team to ensure all work is completed on time and meets quality standards.

Responsibilities :

  • Reviewing technical specifications, drawings, procedures and standards required for each project
  • Planning and coordinating each project's schedule for coating activities
  • Recording and tracking weather and / or atmospheric conditions
  • Preparing project quality documents as well as inspection and test plans and procedures
  • Overseeing daily inspection of coating activities; monitoring overcoat window
  • Maintaining the equipment used for coating work
  • Controlling and maintaining paint supply inventory
  • Manage proper waste disposal for the paint department
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications & Experience :

  • 5 years of professional experience in outdoor - all season sandblasting and painting (e.g., airless spraying)
  • 2 years of professional experience supervising blast / paint crews
  • Official designation of Coatings Inspector (Level 1) is an asset
  • Marine experience is an asset
