Overview

Pembina Pipeline’s KA Facility is actively hiring for a Journeyman Electrician to join our team. This Position will report to the Shift Lead, I&E in the Gas Services Business Unit (GBU), part of the Facilities Division.

The Gas Services Business Unit provides gas gathering, compression, shallow cut processing and both sweet and sour deep cut processing services for its customers, primarily on a fee-for-service basis under long-term contracts. KA is a sour gas processing facility with shallow cut NGL located 10km Southwest of Fox Creek. Processes such as inlet separation, amine sweetening, gas dehydration, fractionation, compression and acid gas injection are utilized to produce saleable hydrocarbon products. KA is a first-class ABSA registered facility which uses steam generation for heat, utilities, as well as prime movers.

Responsibilities

• Support Pembina’s safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the “Life Saving Rules".
• Safely maintain electrical equipment.
• Thorough understanding of Single Line Diagrams for the effective isolation and lock out of equipment.
• Supervise contractors as required.
• Complete preventative maintenance schedules to ensure all maintenance is completed to predetermined schedules and general site and facility upkeep and maintenance.
• Complete field inspections to ensure reliable dependable and efficient operations.
• Recommend improvements to Facility efficiency and optimization and follow through to completion utilizing assistance from Operations Engineering and being compliant with our MOC (Management of Change) process.
• Create notifications, enter material requests attach required documentation, ensuring complete Work Orders within SAP.
• Complete assignments safely, efficiently and in an environmentally conscious manner by observing generally accepted company and industry safety practices.
• Assist in creating FLHA’s (Field Level Hazard Assessment) when required.
• Ensure duties are completed in accordance with Pembina’s procedures, regulatory requirements and industry best practice.
• Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing which includes testing for marijuana metabolites. You will also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract.

The successful candidate must live within 100km of the KA Facility (Fox Creek).

This Position resides within Local 855 Union.

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. The final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
