We are seeking a temporary full-time teacher to teach Junior High Physical Education (Grade 8) one grade 8 Science class, one grade 8 Social Studies class. This position will commence on January 6, 2025 until April 17, 2025 with the potential to end on June 26, 2025

We are seeking a teacher with :

• Appropriate educational training and experience teaching the Alberta Jr. High Physical Education curriculum;
• Appropriate educational training and experience teaching the Alberta Jr. High Social Studies / Science and CTF curricula;
• A strong understanding of outcomes based assessment practices;
• Willingness to work collaboratively as a member of an instructional team;
• A commitment to building relationships with students to create a safe, caring and welcoming learning environment;
• A strong belief in parent involvement and communication including regular communication with home beyond the use of report cards;
• Strong organizational and classroom management skills;
• In depth knowledge of and experience with current outcomes based assessment practices and ability to develop multiple assessments such as portfolios and projects, in addition to more traditional assessments;
• An ability to ensure success for students with diverse academic, behavioural, emotional and / or curricular needs within the classroom setting;
• Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligibility for same;

Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
