About the Position

A Content Design Practitioner at our agency is a skilled professional in user experience design, information architecture, and content strategy, looking for continued growth professionally.

This role owns content design work on smaller-scale projects in a client-facing capacity, leading workshops to extract requirements, setting a content design strategy, executing content design deliverables, and presenting work to client stakeholders. The role is designed to learn more niche skill-sets, like content modeling, and further develop strategic system thinking through team mentorship and by providing hands-on support to more complex projects.

Project Responsibilities

  • Owns content design deliverables and activities on smaller, less complex projects.
  • Supports production-level work for content design activities and deliverables on larger-scale projects.
  • Effectively manages multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Provides peer guidance on content design related work to other practitioners.
  • Leads workshops and presents work to client stakeholders to elicit feedback and approvals.

  • Qualifications

  • Proficient in industry standard design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Miro.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional, team-oriented and collaborative environment, exhibiting the ability to take and apply feedback while pushing projects creatively forward.
  • Proven experience in organizing and architecting digital content through various methods including content audits, conceptual content models, and sitemaps, with considerations for content reusability and multi-channel use.
  • Experience designing engaging and functional user experiences through various methods including, screen flows and wireframes, ensuring that both business and user needs are met.
  • Ability to make strategic content design decisions through understanding project scope and requirements independently.
  • Proven experience playing a supporting role on projects of varying complexity levels, demonstrating capability in managing multiple tasks simultaneously and contributing to projects with diverse requirements and challenges.
  • Direct client interaction experience, with the ability lead workshops to gather requirements, collaboratively work with stakeholders to build relationships, and present all content design work confidently and effectively.
  • Familiarity with web content management systems, like Contentful or Drupal, and experience with design systems and agile methodologies.
  • Provides peer guidance to content designers and other project team members, to foster continued growth of the experience design team and its practitioners.
  • A continuous learning mindset, staying up-to-date with trends and tools to contribute effectively to the team's success.
  • Salary Range

  • 94,000.00-$114,000.00 CAD
