Job Description
The Systems Accessories Technician plays a key role in manufacturing and assembling medical device components. Working under established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and detailed work instructions, this entry-level position focuses on precise, high-quality assembly in a clean lab environment to ensure products meet strict quality and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble Care-Fill Capillary Tubes, Hosts, and all other systems accessories materials according to written instructions and specifications.
- Perform efficient and diligent assembly of medical device components, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all tasks.
- Follow detailed work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain high quality and compliance standards.
- Identify process or product non-conformance and promptly alert engineering and technical support for remediation.
- Participate in quality control reviews and adjust assembly processes as necessary to bring products within specifications.
- Attend training sessions for specific processes and procedures and apply the training faithfully in daily work.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities by suggesting enhancements to products, processes, or procedures.
- Liaise with operators and other team members to coordinate workflow and ensure smooth production activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the lab environment.
- Work effectively within a team-based setting while consistently meeting personal responsibilities and production goals.
- Communicate clearly and proactively about concerns related to quality, processes, or safety.
- Demonstrate manual dexterity by working on small parts and assembling products quickly and accurately.
- Use appropriate hand tools and power tools for electronic and mechanical hand assembly of host systems.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics to build host systems with minimal guidance.
- Work Monday through Friday on a day shift schedule and remain flexible to work overtime or longer shifts as required.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of a High School diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and technical experience.
- Entry-level experience with up to 2 years in a manufacturing or technical environment, preferably in medical device, healthcare, or similar settings.
- At least 1 year of experience working with soldering on electronics in any industry (such as automotive, medical, defense, or telecommunications).
- Ability to assemble medical device components to specification using detailed work instructions.
- Manual dexterity and ability to work on small parts with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics for design and assembly of host systems.
- Experience with electronic and mechanical hand assembly using hand tools and power tools.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while meeting individual responsibilities.
- Readiness to speak up about concerns related to quality, processes, or safety.
- Flexibility to work overtime or longer shifts as needed.

Work Environment
This position is based in a quiet, clean lab environment, working Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. You will have a dedicated desk equipped with all necessary assembler tools and equipment to perform electronic and mechanical hand assembly. The work involves handling small parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reading schematics in a controlled, quality-focused setting. There is no travel required for this role, and overtime is available and compensated after 44 hours, depending on workload and business needs. The environment emphasizes organization, cleanliness, and adherence to established procedures.
