Job description
Adecco is currently hiring a Warehouse Material Sorter for a full-time, temporary opportunity in Ajax, ON. This role is ideal for a reliable and detail-oriented individual with warehouse and production experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
In this position, you will be responsible for sorting, inspecting, and organizing incoming materials while ensuring accuracy, quality control, and efficient flow of goods to support production requirements.
  • Pay Rate: $22.12/hour
  • Location: Ajax, ON
  • Schedule: Full-time, Set schedule (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM / optional 6:30 AM-3:00 PM rotation)
  • Employment Type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities
  • Sort incoming mixed stacks of materials and separate them by type.
  • Inspect materials on both sides for damage and quality issues.
  • Place damaged items into designated rejection or quarantine piles.
  • Communicate with forklift operators to coordinate material movement.
  • Record production details including time, date, quantities, and material notes.
  • Maintain accurate tracking and documentation of sorted materials.
  • Ensure smooth alignment with production flow and customer requirements.
  • Support safe and efficient handling of materials in a warehouse environment.
Qualifications
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of production or manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced setting.
  • Strong communication skills for coordination with team members and operators.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
