At Western Tractor, we’re committed to delivering the right part at the right time, every time. We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Parts Technician to be part of our growing team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love working with your hands, and enjoy helping customers find exactly what they need, we want to meet you!

Customer Service Excellence: Assist customers at the parts counter by understanding their needs and efficiently locating the correct parts to get them back up and running.

Master Diagnostics: Read and interpret parts diagnostics, diagrams, and technical drawings to ensure precision in every order.

Utilize Technology: Navigate computerized inventory systems and parts libraries to track down the perfect part.

Handle Special Orders: Follow up on special orders and keep customers informed as soon as their parts arrive.

Merchandising Support: Help create and maintain eye-catching merchandising displays that showcase our parts and promotions.

Promote Our Specials: Actively promote dealership specials and merchandising campaigns, boosting sales and customer satisfaction.

Customer Satisfaction: Ensure every customer feels valued and appreciated, creating a welcoming atmosphere at all times.

Requirements

Education: Journeyperson Parts Technician designation or equivalent experience.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience within a Parts department. Previous John Deere agricultural equipment and product experience is an asset.

Technical Skills: Experience using online inventory systems and standard desktop applications including Microsoft Office and other browser-based programs, along with a demonstrated understanding of sales processes.

People-Focused: Strong interpersonal skills with experience connecting with customers while maintaining a professional image and establishing rapport.

Soft Skills: Strong time management skills, ability to be adaptable, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

Physical Capability: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs with long periods of standing and walking.

Valid Driver's License: You'll need this for parts deliveries.

Benefits

Training and Development: We keep our team current by investing twice as much in training as any other John Deere dealer in Southern Alberta both inside and outside of our dealership.

Paid Time Off: Recognizing the importance of work-life balance, we provide you with paid time off beginning at 3 weeks in your first year of employment.

Sponsorship: Take advantage of our sponsorship opportunities to help you hone your skills and accumulate on-the-job hours and experience toward your Apprenticeship.

Benefits: We provide a comprehensive health benefits package to keep you and your family healthy along with an employer-matched Registered Retirement Savings Plan.

Compensation: You'll enjoy a competitive compensation scale, incentive programs, and opportunities for advancement.

Equipment: We supply the equipment and technology needed to excel in your role, including an annual boot and tool allowance.

Join us in revolutionizing the future of agriculture - where your skills have a direct impact on the success of farmers and the sustainability of our industry. We can't wait to welcome you to our team!
