What You Will Do:
• Model and uphold Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience across all touchpoints, ensuring positive and consistent interactions.
• Drive sales grow by collaborating with Home Centre Team Leaders to implement pricing, merchandising, and promotional strategies across product categories.
• Coordinate project fulfillment with Home Centre teams to ensure accurate, timely delivery of customer orders.
• Support daily retail operations, including merchandising, inventory control, and store readiness.
• Achieve financial targets related to sales, margins, expenses, and inventory management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and retail customers to generate repeat and referral business.
• Conduct project consultations to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
• Prepare accurate quotes and material takeoffs using estimating software and instore systems.
• Manage project lifecycle by tracing progress, following up with customers, and identifying additional sales opportunities.
• Maintain product knowledge of building materials, home improvement trends, and relevant building codes.
• Resolve customer concerns efficiently to ensure high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, asset protection and operational polices and procedures.
Who You Will Work With: Reporting to the Home Centre Team Leader, you will work closely with a variety of internal and external partners to ensure a successful customer experience and project execution. This role is highly collaborative and requires effective communication, teamwork, and organizational skills to support both customer satisfaction and internal efficiency.
Who You Are:
You are looking for a Project Sales opportunity in Home and Building Sales and Customer Service who meets the following:
• Proven sales experience (5+ years) within home improvement, construction, or retail, with a history of achieving sales targets and driving margin growth.
• Strong construction knowledge, including the ability to interpret building plans, material takeoffs, and specifications, with working knowledge of building codes and industry trends.
• Experience in project estimating and quoting, with the ability to develop accurate, competitive project packages using estimating tools or systems.
• Customer-focused relationship builder, skilled in consulting with contractors, builders, and retail customers to identify needs and deliver effective solutions.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, timelines,
• Effective communicator, able to deliver clear, professional service across in-person, phone, and digital channels.
• Detail-oriented and results-driven, ensuring accuracy in orders, pricing, and project execution.
• Team-oriented and collaborative, able to work cross-functionally to support project fulfillment and daily retail operations.
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license, with the ability to travel locally and perform the physical requirements of a home centre environment.
