Insurance Defense Lawyer
About the Firm / Role
Forge Recruitment is currently searching for an Insurance Defense Associate to join an established litigation boutique law firm located in Downtown Toronto.
In this role, your practice will focus on Insurance Defence litigation, product liability, and professional liability.
Your Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive file reviews with the team to prepare case summaries and litigation plans.
- Draft a range of documents including facta, opinion letters, settlement conference memoranda, pleadings, and various applications.
- Conduct legal research.
- Attend examinations for discovery, motions, appeals, pre-trial conferences, trials, mediations / arbitrations, and other hearings at the License Appeal Tribunal.
- Settlement negotiation.
What You Bring
- 2-8 years of post-call experience with a focus on insurance defence litigation.
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- Excellent communication skills and client-focused.
