Lead Mechanic - Clean Harbors (Westlake, LA)

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure health and safety by complying with all safe work practices.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on vehicles and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, battery checks, lubrication).
- Assist drivers with vehicle issues.
- Record time, parts, and inspection checklists accurately.
- Move company equipment safely.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment and vehicles.
- Disassemble, inspect, and replace worn or broken parts.
- Diagnose and repair various systems (engines, transmissions, brakes, etc.).
- Operate gauges, forklifts, shunt trucks, torches, grinders, and other tools safely.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-3 years experience working on heavy-duty trucks and equipment required.
- Comfortable working on computers required.
- Must provide own basic tools.
- Related mechanical certifications a plus.
- Valid drivers license required.
