Our global mining client is building out their SAP AMS team and require a SAP S4HANA FICO / SCM consultant who will support the business teams in Edmonton and Nunavut mine site.
This role will provide support and maintenance of the SAP system to ensure smooth operations. This role involves troubleshooting issues, implementing system enhancements, and collaborating with various departments to optimize SAP functionalities and will report into Finance

Location : REMOTE WITH TRAVEL TO MINE SITE ( MST work hours )
Travel : ADHOC travel to Edmonton / Nunavut is required

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Min. (4+) years' experience working as an SAP Support Specialist or in a similar system support role in the mining sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business or a related field;
- Experience with SAP FICO, SCM, SAP transformation and technical advisory or consulting.
- Experience with EWM - Extended Warehouse Management is an asset.
- Mining Industry experience highly preferred / required.
- Strong communication skills,
- Ability to work independent / proactively.
- PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist IT and Support Desk to provide first-class support and satisfy the needs of application end-users; manage support calls and liaise with consultants, technicians, and developers for prompt resolution of requests.
- Liaise with solutions provider on issues pertaining to routine and ad-hoc maintenance, technical support and development.
- Develop BAdls to existing SAP system and build customized SAP reports per user requests.
- Translate business operational process needs into improvement specifications for SAP and related applications.
- Ensure interfaces with other applications and third-party products are functional, in collaboration with the IT Department.
- Implement new applications or functionalities within existing applications with consultants and end-users.
- Plan and manage schedules for the safe introduction of new releases / patches to meet service requirements.
- Organize regular meetings with system users to maintain awareness of their service operations.
- Manage system security / user access, develop end-user manuals, provide training, and facilitate system change requests including documentation, testing, and training.
Must have Work Authorization for Canada.
