The successful candidate
will be expected to work both independently and collaboratively, will report to the Learning Strategies Coordinator, and will have responsibilities that include (but are not limited to):Communicating clearly with staff, students, and parents in person and by email The use of multiple approaches to teaching and supporting diverse learners The use of a calm and respectful demeanor that fosters positive engagement with students who have social-emotional challenges or developmental disorders Demonstrate professional value in diversity as it relates to all people, including aspects of identity, as well as having respect for Indigenous traditions and ways of knowing Collaborate with LS team on case management Support the student with organization and planning strategies to complete schoolwork Comfortable working on various computer platforms used in the school (Google Suite - docs, sheets, slides, email, etc.) Track student progress Requirements for the position: Relevant Bachelor’s degree Demonstrated competence in senior-level Math At the time of application, you must be legally permitted to work in Canada Why work at King David: King David staff enjoy working in a warm, welcoming, modern, and collegial environment Professional development is supported, both in and out of school, through conference attendance or course and workshop participation We have a young, motivated, and engaged staff with an administration that is committed to creating a safe, positive work environment We offer a comprehensive compensation package with competitive salaries, extended benefits, RRSP pension matching, and other perks How to apply: If you are excited to work with a committed and team-oriented group of educators and you have the desire to make a difference in the lives of others, we want to hear from you.
