Plant Manager – Automotive Manufacturing
Location : Etobicoke, Ontario
Salary : $110,000 – $125,000 per year (plus benefits and performance incentives)

With a strong commitment to innovation, safety, and operational excellence, the company is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead its Etobicoke facility and drive continuous improvement across all areas of production.
Position Overview
The Plant Manager will oversee daily plant operations, ensuring production goals are met safely, efficiently, and within budget. This leadership role is accountable for maintaining high standards in quality, cost control, delivery performance, and employee engagement. The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with a solid background in automotive manufacturing and a proven track record of operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality assurance, logistics, and safety.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to meet production targets and optimize manufacturing performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage and mentor department managers and supervisors to build a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and corporate leadership to support new product launches and process improvements.
- Oversee plant budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control measures.
- Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to achieve operational goals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field (MBA an asset).At least 5 years in a plant or operations management role.Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing , ISO / TS 16949 , and Health & Safety standards.Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and improving operational efficiency.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Experience with ERP systems and production planning tools (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
