You will be joining a large, mixed‑use hospitality and real estateplex that includes two hotels, a residential rental tower with over 300 units, a syndicate of 150 condos,mercial spaces, restaurants, offices, and parking facilities. Your new role
As Director of Finance, you will oversee theplete accounting operations for all entities within theplex, including two hotels, a large residential rental building, the condo syndicate, and multiplemercial spaces. You will lead and coach the accounting team, ensure timely and accurate month‑end closings, prepare and present financial statements, and conduct variance analyses for each business unit. You will also supervise bank reconciliations, journal entries, cash‑flow forecasting, budgeting (operational and CAPEX), and the maintenance of internal controls. Part of your mandate includes rebuilding a strong finance team, implementing best practices, and acting as a key partner to ownership, external auditors, banks, andernment bodies. This role is both operational and strategic, with strong exposure to FP&A, detailed oversight of day‑to‑day activities, and regular financial presentations to senior stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting role with proven leadership.
- Experience in hospitality, real estate, or multi‑entity environments is an asset, though not mandatory.
- Strong operational accounting skills and the ability to work hands‑on in a fast‑moving, less structured environment.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability.
- Excellentmunication skills in French (presentations, reporting) and good proficiency in English.
- Leadership qualities: confident, accurate, organized, and capable of supervising, rebuilding, and coaching a team.
- Ability to manage pressure, prioritize multiple deadlines, and act as a subject‑matter expert for both finance teams and operational departments.
