Job description
Our names are David and Margot. We have a 3-year old son who needs a full-time in-home nanny, who would assist with preschool activities. Hours are negotiable, but would generally range from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, except holidays. Start and end times are also negotiable. Duties would include: bringing child to preschool/attending with him (program to be determined), bringing child to community activities/attending with him, carrying out a routine schedule in the home, lunch and snack preparation, and tidying up in kitchen/playroom when in use. Outdoor play is essential to child's routine and wellbeing. Family vehicle provided for travel to activities, appointments, etc., during the course of the work day. Types of outdoor activities: walks to local parks, drives to beach (e.g. Willow`s Beach or Cadboro Bay), drives to local bike tracks (e.g. McMinn Park). Requirements of position: valid driver's licence; ECE or EA designation or enrollment in such a program would be an asset. Challenges of position: our child is high energy. He needs a carer with the patience to give him options and go at his pace. He is affectionate, and engaged and engaging. The first month may be a challenge as he settles into a new routine, but both parents are available to work in the family home until he is settled in the nanny`s care. Salary base is $20/hr but is negotiable based on education and experience, or other considerations for the right candidate.
