JOB SUMMARY:
Sagamok Anishnawbek is seeking a fluent Anishinaabemowin Speaker to join our Education Department in promoting and revitalizing Anishinaabemowin language and culture. This role supports students across various learning environments, classrooms, land-based settings, and early learning centresby creating a rich, immersive language experience that reinforces identity, tradition, and community connection.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Must provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check prior to employment.
Strong interpersonal and motivational skills to foster student engagement.
Must adhere to Sagamok Anishnawbek confidentiality policies.
Subject to six-month probation period.
Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle required.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Grade 12 diploma.
Fluency in Anishinaabemowin (required).
Deep understanding and appreciation of Anishinaabe culture, history, and teachings.
Land-based learning experience is an asset.
Familiarity with community development and quality assurance practices is an asset.
