Description
The Support Service Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the department's daily operations, ensuring staff performance meets company standards, and facilitating effective communication across various functions. This role involves recruiting and training new employees, managing maintenance and vendor relationships, analyzing financial reports, and maintaining guest relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise staff by assigning tasks, coaching, and supporting their development. Monitor performance to meet company standards.
- Lead hiring and training of new employees, ensuring smooth onboarding for long-term success.
- Act as the main point of contact for Maintenance, Parking Enforcement, Payment Meter Operations, and Office Operations to ensure effective communication.
- Regularly check maintenance work orders for cleanliness and safety, overseeing projects to ensure timely completion.
- Find and onboard new vendors as needed for business operations.
- Review profit and loss statements and reports monthly or quarterly to help meet financial goals.
- Manage employee schedules and timecards to ensure adequate coverage and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with guests to address inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Respond quickly to accidents or safety concerns to ensure a resolution.
- Maintain courteous communication with guests, clients, and team members.
- Collaborate with HR on employee issues, including disciplinary actions.
- Assist with accounts receivable, cash handling, and regular audits for financial accuracy.
- Respond to calls and emails, helping parkers with their inquiries.
- Manage special projects and other tasks to support departmental and company goals.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, or a related field a plus
- Proven experience in the parking management industry with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong focus on customer service and client satisfaction.
- Proficient in location, profit and loss analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in revenue generation and direct marketing.
- Event management experience is a plus.
- Client relationship management skills.
- Business development and strategic thinking abilities.
- Leadership and team-building skills.
- Technologically proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and contract management software.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and clean driving record.
