Job description
The Portage la Prairie School Division is seeking a qualified and passionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team on either a part-time or full-time basis. The Division is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive environment where all students can thrive. As part of our team, you will play a key role in enhancing student outcomes and ensuring academic and social success. Key Responsibilities: - Direct assessment of students speech and language disorders in order to develop in-school programs - Training and supervision of speech/language assistants who carry out programming at each school site - Training, modelling and establishment of communication systems/programming in regular and/or special classroom programs - Implementation of screening processes to assist with the early identification of children with speech/language difficulties - Direct language enrichment with small groups of students through the Indigenous Academic Achievement grant - Facilitation of in-services for staff and families relate to speech/language and literacy issues - Collaborating with school teams, families and collateral agencies to support students across the Division - Early years intervention Qualifications: - Master's Degree - Speech-Language Pathologist - Must be registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Manitoba - Eligible for Manitoba School Clinician's Certificate To apply please go directly to: Deadline to apply: Open until filled For more information about the Portage la Prairie School Division, please visit: For information regarding the City of Portage la Prairie , please visit: The Portage la Prairie School Division is committed to ensuring our workforce is representative of all communities, and actively works to support that.
