Job Title: Warehouse WorkerJob DescriptionThis role focuses on digitizing physical files and handling boxed records in a busy warehouse environment. You will scan documents into a computer system, organize and return files to their proper locations, and move boxes throughout your shift while following established procedures for accuracy, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities- Digitize physical files by scanning each document into the computer system with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Retrieve boxes of files from designated storage locations and prepare them for scanning.
- Place files back into their original boxes in the correct order after scanning to maintain proper file organization.
- Move boxes throughout the warehouse during the shift; boxes typically weigh around 25 pounds and can weigh up to 70 pounds, obtaining assistance for any box over 50 pounds.
- Use a proprietary computer system to track orders, update records, and determine the location of boxes within the warehouse.
- Operate a handheld scanner to scan files, labels, and barcodes for tracking and inventory purposes.
- Climb and balance on ladders safely to access boxes stored on higher levels of racking.
- Load, operate, and move hand carts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to transport boxes and pallets.
- Load and shrink wrap pallets at ground level or on carts to prepare shipments and storage loads.
- Load boxes onto pallets and load pallets onto trucks manually and with the use of material handling aids.
- Follow safety procedures while lifting, carrying, climbing, and operating equipment in a warehouse setting.
- Work independently for most of the shift while maintaining a steady pace and meeting productivity expectations.
Essential Skills- Ability to read and write English to follow instructions, update records, and use the computer system.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently and request assistance for heavier loads.
- Experience using pallet jacks and general material handling equipment.
- Comfort working in a general labor or warehouse setting with consistent physical activity.
- Ability to operate a handheld scanner for tracking and digitizing files.
- Ability to climb and balance on ladders safely to access multi-level racking.
- Previous warehouse, landscaping, or moving experience that demonstrates physical stamina and comfort with manual labor.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Prior warehouse experience handling boxes, pallets, or inventory.
- Landscaping experience that shows familiarity with physical, outdoor, or manual work.
- Moving experience, including lifting, carrying, and transporting heavy items.
- Comfort working with a proprietary computer system and learning new software tools.
- Attention to detail when organizing files and ensuring documents remain in the correct order.

Work EnvironmentThis is a 2‑month contract position with a high likelihood of transitioning to a longer-term role. The schedule runs Monday to Friday from 9:30 . to 6:00 . You will work in a large warehouse with three levels of racking filled with boxes, and the environment can be dusty at times. The team is small, and you will work independently for most of your shift while maintaining a steady, consistent pace. You will regularly use hand carts, pallet jacks, ladders, handheld scanners, and shrink wrap equipment to handle boxes and pallets. The atmosphere is relaxed but productive, and you may wear one headphone to listen to music while you work, provided you follow all safety guidelines.
