We’re Island Manufacturing and Galvanizing () , and we’re offering you that role. For over 15 years, we’ve been providing hot-dip galvanizing on architectural and structural steel, machinery, and equipment to business across Newfoundland. We have strong projected growth goals over the next year and are looking to you, our new Business Development Representative, to increase our market penetration, and help us meet those goals. What you’ll be doing Your goal in this position is to learn our business and our products inside out, and then sell as widely as possible. You’re highly self-motivated, driven to succeed, and eager to be on the road every single day closing deals. From networking to knocking on doors to cold calling, you do what it takes to build leads, and bring in new clients. From construction and steel fabrication to offshore drilling, if they need galvanizing, they’re yours for the taking. It goes without saying that you should also be an exceptional communicator and relationship builder. Clients are drawn to your personality, and you earn their trust through your competence and instinctive understanding of their needs. Working with Island Manufacturing and Galvanizing This is a full-time, one-year contract role with the possibility of moving to permanent at the end of the contract. We are offering a highly attractive salary of $63,000-$68,000 commensurate with experience, as well as company vehicle. You’ll work out of our Bell Island facility once a week and spend the rest of your time on the road or working from your home office. Please note that relocation is a requirement if you currently live outside the province of Newfoundland. What Makes You an Ideal Candidate If you don’t have a ton of sales experience, that’s okay – what is absolutely essential for success in this role is experience working in the steel fabrication or coatings industry. If you’ve got great industry knowledge, and love making connections and talking to people, we want you to apply. Other good qualifications include the following * Experience in a B2B sales role * Experience building a successful sales strategy and exceeding growth goals * Experience working in the construction sector, and ability to read blueprints * Experience with MS Office – preparing quotes, building formulas to track revenue growth, drafting emails, giving presentations etc. * Valid driver’s license and clean driving record * High school diploma or equivalent How to Apply Our online application gives you the chance to apply as more than just a resume.
