The Role: This summer student will join a collaborative customer support team, assisting with client inquires and confirming service appointments and bookings for medical visits, day programs and social or recreational activities.

The role also requires coordinating closely with agency drivers to ensure schedules run smoothly, while responding flexibly to changing needs and real-time adjustments.

Tasks and Responsibilities Answer client inquiries and redirect calls to appropriate departments in a timely and courteous manner Confirm client service appointments/bookings Assist clients with the creation of grocery shopping lists/orders Coordinate with agency drivers to ensure that client bookings align and include adequate contingency plan Address scheduling conflicts in a timely manner Enthusiasm to help with other duties as required to support the scheduling, transportation, exercise and Meals on Wheels teams Deliver Meals on Wheels routes Requested Skills/Qualifications This job is funded through Canada Summer Jobs 2026 , and to be eligible applicants must: be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with the relevant Ontario legislation and regulations, including having a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment Successful candidate must be available to work for the entire 8-week contract Valid G or G2 Driver’s License, and daily access to a safe, licensed and reliable vehicle to deliver meals Satisfactory police records check for the vulnerable sector Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Superior multi-tasking and organizational skills Superior attention to detail and confidentiality Strong interpersonal skills with an enthusiasm for working with people Experience operating multi-line telephone system and using a database preferred Experience providing customer service is an asset Experience with older adults, volunteers and/or persons with diverse abilities is an asset Ability to communicate in a language other than English an asset Application Information Please submit resume and cover letter highlighting the unique attributes you bring to the position by noon on May 25, 2026 .
