What You Will Be Doing As a Line Cook at Carmen’s Group, you will play an important role in preparing high-quality, beautifully presented dishes that reflect our standards of excellence.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, collaborative kitchen where consistency, attention to detail, and pride in your craft are essential.

Your responsibilities will include: Prepare and cook menu items while following established recipes, portioning, and presentation standards Complete daily station setup, ensuring ingredients, equipment, and supplies are stocked and ready for service Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area throughout each shift Follow all food safety, sanitation, storage, and cleaning procedures Assist with food preparation, buffet service, banquet plating, and other kitchen duties as required Communicate and coordinate with the culinary team to keep service running smoothly and on time Support a respectful, team-focused kitchen environment during busy service periods Attend team meetings and training sessions, and contribute ideas for ongoing improvement Ensure every dish is prepared with care, consistency, and attention to detail From restaurant service and private celebrations to large-scale banquets, you’ll help deliver exceptional culinary experiences for every guest.

• What You Bring to the Table One to two years of experience in a restaurant, banquet, or high-volume kitchen environment Strong knife skills and knowledge of cooking techniques Safe Food Handler’s Certificate is an asset Culinary Trade Certification or Red Seal designation is an asset A passion for food and a commitment to doing your best every shift Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event-based hours We are Carmens Group—a proud Hamilton-born hospitality company with a mission to create extraordinary memories.
