Job description

This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 3, 2026

Halls Head College (HHC) is uniquely situated on the 'island' of Halls Head just south of Mandurah. The local intake area of HHC is south, close to the Waroona Shire boundary. The contributory primary schools are Glencoe, Halls Head, Falcon, South Halls Head and Ocean Road. The College provides a secondary education for students who live in the rapidly growing coastal strip, south of Mandurah.

The Role

The role of Program Coordinator - Student Services Manager (SSM) is dynamic, strategic, proactive, and hands on. The successful applicant would work collaboratively with the administrative team and the principal to lead relevant programs and initiatives to support the school's core values. They will lead with cultural responsiveness and be an effective communicator who is able to handle difficult conversations in a compassionate and empathetic way.

As Program Coordinator - (SSM), you will be responsible for managing a team to monitor and report on students in relation to, attendance, behaviour, social/emotional wellbeing, educational engagement, and Students at Educational Risk. Analysing data to implement targeted interventions aimed at improving outcomes for students is key part of this role. The Program Coordinator – (SSM) is an integral part of our Student Services Team, and the successful applicant will display their ability to motivate their team, lead by example and to develop a highly effective team.

As Program Coordinator - (SSM), you would provide support to teachers and curriculum leaders in student wellbeing and work in a collaborative team to meet all Schools Curriculum and Standards Authority requirements through various strategies such as targeted intervention and student case management. To ensure high quality outcomes for students, the Program Coordinator (SSM) would need to build positive, professional working relationships with students, staff, parents, and stakeholders.
