Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman with expertise in the service rig industry and a strong Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing repair, maintenance, inspection, and retrofit work in operating environments. You will be responsible for assessing component condition and determining acceptable serviceability based on function and application rather than new-equipment standards. You should be capable of managing the complete repair cycle, including equipment tear-down, inspection, troubleshooting, identification of required replacement parts, documentation of findings, and equipment rebuilds. A strong mechanical aptitude, sound decision-making abilities, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills are essential for diagnosing and resolving equipment issues while maintaining accurate inspection and repair records.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, repair, and retrofit industrial equipment.
• Perform inspections and rebuilds of equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Maintain accurate inspection and repair records.
• Manage complete repair cycles from tear-down to rebuild.
• Assess component condition for serviceability.

Essential Skills

• Journeyman certification.
• Experience in the service rig industry.
• Proficiency in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to disassemble and assemble industrial equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Hydraulics Experience.
• Experience with pull testing and load testing.

Work Environment

Work shifts are from Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with overtime available after 8 hours in any day regardless of hours worked that week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calgary, AB.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $44.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
