Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler for a project-based role with the potential for long-term extension. This role involves assisting with setting up production lines and contributing to the setup of a new production line.

Responsibilities

• Print and apply labels to bins and other materials.
• Perform manual tasks such as cutting and counting materials.
• Utilize computer programs including word processing and SAP for inventory management.
• Engage in basic to advanced picking tasks as needed.
• Assemble metal carts and manage cycle counts.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in computer skills, especially with word processing and SAP.
• Experience in warehouse operations, including picking and labeling.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Moderate communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Good hand-eye dexterity.
• Ability to bend, squat, crawl, and climb.
• Motivation to perform repetitive tasks.
• Reliable transportation.
• Comfortable wearing PPE, including steel-toed boots and safety glasses.

Work Environment

This role is based in one of our six buildings in Campbell Heights, predominantly in building 6. The work environment is a clean shop/warehouse setting, which is not climate-controlled and may have noise, vibration, dust, and fumes. Employees are expected to wear steel-toed boots and safety glasses, and comfortable clothing. The schedule is ideally from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Surrey, BC.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
