Job Description

We currently have an opening for an Intermediate Civil Engineer in our Kelowna office . This position will focus on the design and implementation of active transportation corridors, highways, streets, roads, intersections, roundabouts, and pathways.

Responsibilities

• Designing transportation infrastructure, including but not limited to feasibility studies, conceptual design, preliminary design, functional design, and detailed design.
• Acting as Project Engineer / Manager on assignments with assistance of Senior Engineers.
• Providing technical engineering leadership and / or support for delivery of projects.
• Civil 3D Modelling.
• Developing design models; conducting analysis and interpret resulting data.
• Coordinating technicians and designers to ensure that drawings are accurately prepared.
• Preparing written technical reports.
• Providing Quality Control and / or Quality Assurance reviews on projects.
• Preparing cost estimates and contract documents.
• Performing Project Management tasks including communications with clients, managing schedules, budgets, and reporting requirements.
• Providing ongoing, formal and informal, technical guidance and mentorship to staff.
• Participating in marketing strategies and business development with clients to procure business, including writing proposals.
• Communicating effectively and clearly; both verbally and written.
• Coordinating subconsultants' activities on projects.
• Executing projects in accordance with company guidelines and standards.

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $85,280.00 to $135,200.00 and is commensurate with experience relative to this position.
