Our client, is seeking a high-caliber Data Engineer to join their specialized Enterprise Analytics and IT division.
In this professional engineering role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying highly scalable, production-grade Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines and analytical data streams. You will act as a key technical contributor within a collaborative, fast-paced Agile team, partnering with Solution Architects, Scrum Masters, and business teams to transform business requirements into robust data architectures. Your mandate includes designing modern data marts, engineering columnar Data Warehouses, and implementing enterprise reporting layers to maximize data accessibility and drive strategic operational intelligence.
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (In-office at the corporate headquarters once a month, or more frequently based on project delivery requirements—up to once a week).

ResponsibilitiesData Pipeline Engineering & Architecture
ETL Pipeline Development: Design, code, and implement clean, high-performing ETL/ELT processes delivering high-quality data structures in alignment with software development best practices.
Data Warehouse & Mart Modeling: Analyze enterprise data usage to architect, build, and optimize scalable data marts and analytical data models tailored for complex business reporting.
GCP Cloud Orchestration: Leverage cloud-native utilities to support real-time and batch ingestion streams, workflow automation, and distributed data transformations.
Validation, Reporting & Stakeholder Integration
Comprehensive Quality Assurance: Prepare rigorous test scripts and execute functional unit, integration, and regression testing. Coordinate, monitor, and drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business partners to ensure complete data accuracy and completeness.
Reporting & Visualization Solutions: Collaborate with analytics teams to design, build, and deploy data visualization interfaces and reporting dashboards.
Technical Synthesis & Prototyping: Partner daily with technical leads and functional resources to translate raw requirements into technical specifications. Conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs) to evaluate new or emerging data platform technologies.
Production Governance: Troubleshoot production pipeline defects and SQL execution friction. Adhere strictly to enterprise IT standards and change management protocols when deploying code to live environments.
QualificationsExperience: 5 to 8 years of proven professional experience operating as a Data Engineer, BI Developer, or Cloud Data Specialist.
Advanced SQL Mastery: Expert-level capability in advanced SQL scripting, including data management, mining, window functions, and complex query performance tuning.
Data Modeling Excellence: Meticulous understanding of database design principles, relational concepts, and dimensional data modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas) within modern column-oriented systems.
Cloud Platform Infrastructure Depth: Direct hands-on experience or functional configuration familiarity within Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically leveraging BigQuery, Airflow (Cloud Composer), Pub/Sub, and Dataflow.
Quality & Validation Acuity: Proven track record establishing automated data validation rules, data profiling scripts, and accuracy checks across large-scale datasets.
Soft Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to draft technical specifications and solution documentation. Highly adaptable with the capacity to quickly master new technologies and communicate engineering issues cleanly to business management.
Preferred Assets
Prior professional experience operating within the Retail or E-Commerce sector.
Exposure to a variety of relational, NoSQL, and columnar database platforms.
