Our client is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join their growing manufacturing organization.
The Intermediate Accountant will report to the Director, Finance & Administration and be responsible for supporting the full-cycle accounting function across a group of companies. This position offers exposure to financial reporting, costing, ERP systems, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration with Operations. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where priorities can change daily.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with full-cycle accounting, including preparing journal entries and maintaining the general ledger
• Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations and record intercompany transactions
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reporting
• Collaborate with Operations to ensure accurate cost capture and alignment with manufacturing processes
• Monitor and analyze standard versus actual cost variances, investigate root causes, and partner with Operations on corrective actions
• Assist with ERP implementation and ongoing system enhancements
• Support month-end, year-end, and annual review processes for the group of companies
• Develop and maintain accounting procedures, schedules, and internal controls
• Assist with the preparation of supporting working papers and reconciliations
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned by the Director, Finance & Administration
What's on Offer
• Salary: $70,000 - $75,000
• 3 weeks' vacation

• Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible within standard business hours)
• 100% in-office position
Must Haves
• Accounting diploma or equivalent
• Working towards a CPA designation
• Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 1 year within a manufacturing environment
• Previous experience working with an ERP system
Nice to Have
• Experience with costing or cost accounting
• Experience assisting with ERP implementation
• Experience developing or improving accounting policies and internal controls
• Experience with intercompany accounting across multiple entities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confident, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
