Position: Operations Manager – Security Technology Startup

Role Overview
The Operations Manager will play a critical role in establishing and optimizing processes for our new security business under GuestTek. This individual will design workflows, implement operational frameworks, and ensure seamless integration of new security technologies in hotel environments. You will work closely with leadership and technical teams to create scalable systems that support growth and compliance and data protection standards globally.
Key Responsibilities
Process Development
- Design and implement operational processes for a new security business from the ground up.
- Create SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for service delivery, installation, and maintenance of security technology, including hardware and AI-enabled solutions.
Workflow Optimization
- Develop end-to-end workflows for deploying security tech in hotels, including onboarding, training, and support.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions for efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with product and tech teams to ensure smooth implementation of security solutions in hotel environments.
- Translate technical requirements into operational processes.
- Support integration of security hardware (e.g., cameras, access control devices, sensors) and AI-driven platforms into operational models.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all processes meet industry standards, legal requirements, and client expectations.
- Maintain alignment with global privacy and data protection regulations related to security systems and video surveillance (e.g., GDPR and other regional privacy frameworks).
- Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure privacy-by-design principles are embedded into operational workflows.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with leadership, sales, and customer success teams to align operations with business goals.
- Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to drive improvements and cost efficiencies.
Qualifications
Experience
- 5+ years in operations management, preferably in security, technology, or hospitality sectors.
- Proven track record of building processes for startups or new business units.
- Demonstrated experience working with security hardware systems and AI-enabled security platforms.
- Experience operating within environments subject to global privacy and data protection regulations.
Skills
- Strong understanding of process design and workflow optimization.
- Knowledge of security technology, hardware deployment, and AI-based monitoring systems is a strong asset.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
