Reena is actively looking for Summer Camp, Full-Time Recreational Support Workers (RSW) to work within Reena's Community Outreach programs. As a RSW, you would be providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
This is a great opportunity for University/College students looking for Full-Time employment, with an opportunity for extensions and growth within the agency.
This is an existing seasonal role that is recruited annually to support summer recreation programming and services.
Work Schedule:
June 1st, 2026 to August 21st, 2026
- Month of June, Monday - Friday (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
- Month of July & August, Monday - Friday (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM)

Job Responsibilities
1. Program Support and Life Skills Responsibilities
- Ensure the overall health, safety, and well-being of individuals supported, including assistance with toileting, feeding, medication administration, behavioural support, and general care.
- Manage a flexible caseload, adapting to daily changes in individual support needs.
- Develop and implement person-centered programs that address each individual's unique social, physical, and emotional needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of daily activities, concerns, incidents, and progress.
- Communicate any issues or concerns promptly to supervisors.
- Liaise regularly with families and supervisors through scheduled daily, weekly, and monthly interactions.
- Actively participate in departmental and team meetings.
- Demonstrate sensitivity and respect for the Judaic culture and individual spiritual preferences.
- Administer medications in accordance with Reena’s established policies and procedures.
2. Administrative Responsibilities
- Record and report petty cash transactions accurately.
- Ensure all required documentation (e.g., binders, face sheets, face cards) is current and complete.
- File documents appropriately and maintain organized records.
- Complete reports and forms clearly, concisely, and accurately.
- Develop and maintain structured daily schedules for individuals.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years and older.
- Possession of a valid G license preferred, but not mandatory.
- Comfortable with driving Reena's van for transportation purposes (if applicable)

- Background related to child care, education, social work, psychology, social services, child and youth worker
- Self-motivated and willing to learn
- Flexible and adaptive to change
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Creativity, patience, and a passion for working with children and youth.
