Groundskeeping Superintendent

Oakridge is seeking an experienced and motivated Grounds Keeping Superintendent based in Brantford to oversee year-round exterior maintenance operations for commercial properties. The ideal candidate has hands-on grounds maintenance experience and a proven ability to lead crews, manage multiple sites, and maintain high service standards.

Service Area: Brantford, Kitchener, Waterloo, and London
Vacancy: 1

Compensation:

• $60,000–$70,000 annually.
• Company vehicle and phone.
• Company-matched RRSP after one year.
• Benefits after three months.

Experience and Requirements:

• Previous grounds maintenance experience is required, including lawn care, landscaping, and commercial property maintenance.
• Previous supervisory experience leading grounds maintenance crews is required.
• Experience coordinating crews, equipment, and schedules across multiple properties.
• Knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment and safe operating practices.
• Experience with snow and ice management operations.
• Must live in Brantford and be able to travel throughout the service area.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead and motivate crews to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.
• Assign daily tasks and ensure work is completed efficiently and on schedule.
• Provide direction, training, and feedback to crew members.
• Address crew concerns and resolve conflicts professionally.

Communication and Client Relations:

• Clearly communicate work orders, safety requirements, and expectations.
• Respond to crew feedback and client concerns promptly.
• Maintain professional relationships with property owners and managers.

Organization and Quality Control:

• Plan and prioritize daily and weekly maintenance activities.
• Conduct site inspections to identify and correct deficiencies.
• Monitor service quality and ensure properties meet company and client standards.
