Courier Team Lead

This is an interview position.
Aider la direction à superviser le tri, la livraison et le ramassage quotidiens ainsi que les opérations et vols d’apport de la succursale à domicile (s’il y a lieu). Mener le secteur en assurant les meilleures pratiques et l’exploitation efficace, et donner l’exemple aux employés horaires en devenant un mentor et en démontrant un comportement exemplaire, y compris une forte capacité de communication, de résolution de conflits et de leadership (par les meilleures pratiques)

GENERAL SUMMARY
To operate company vehicles and provide efficient delivery and pick up of packages while performing in a floating capacity for a minimum of 5 routes. To work as a courier but not necessarily on an assigned regular route. To assist management in overseeing daily sort activities, perform deliveries / pickups and other related duties. To lead the sector as assigned. To model the way for hourly employees by becoming a mentor and demonstrating role model behaviour including strong communication, conflict resolution and leadership ability (through Best Practices methods)

Diplôme d’études secondaires ou l’équivalent

Un (1) an d’expérience actuelle en tant que messager

Maîtrise de base démontrée des applications informatiques sur PC (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – peut être exigée uniquement sur certains sites.

Pouvoir soulever des charges de 70 lb et manœuvrer, à l’aide d’un appareil approprié, des colis pesant jusqu’à 150 lb.

Bien maîtriser la communication et les relations humaines avec la capacité de motiver, d’encadrer et de former les employés au travail.

Capacité d’établir des priorités et de déléguer de manière urgente.

Réussir toutes les formations de base et formations périodiques (y compris la certification de spécialiste des matières dangereuses). Doit maintenir l’accréditation par la formation périodique annuelle avant l’expiration.

Avoir démontré une excellente maîtrise des relations humaines, des relations avec la clientèle et de la communication.

Bonne maîtrise de l’analyse, de la résolution de problèmes, de l’établissement de priorités et de l’organisation.

Permis de conduire en règle et bon dossier de conduite.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

High school diploma/equivalent

One (1) year of previous courier experience

Demonstrated basic level proficiency in PC computer applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – may be required at some locations only

Good analytica,l human relations, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Ability to organize & prioritize large amounts of data

Ability to successfully complete all basic and recurrency training.

Must have the ability to lift 70 lbs & maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment

The requirement of DG Specialist is dependent upon station size and location.

Must possess a valid driver's license & have a good driving record

Technical Skill Requirements

Solid knowledge of the following:

Must possess a valid drivers licence and have a good driving record.

Ability to successfully complete all basic and recurrency training (including DG specialist certification). Must maintain accreditation through yearly recurrency training prior to expiration.

Remains current with training in BP and defensive driver / process updates.

Good understanding of FedEx products, features of service, general operations.

Ability to lift 70 lbs and to maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.

Some knowledge of Federal Express operations and Canadian Customs regulations an asset.

Solid communications/ interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate/ coach and train employees on the job.

Ability to prioritize and delegate in a time-sensitive manner.

Interpersonal Skill Requirements
