Job description

FuzeHR is now seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant for a 6-month contract in spectacular Squamish, BC! What are the Responsibilities

  • Frontline support; the Administrative Assistant will be a first point of contact for visitors to the site (couriers, staff, contractors, members of the public)
  • Greeting and receiving of visitors to the facility, ensure proper sign in / sign out, distribution of PPE, site orientations, and connection with appropriate host
  • Management of facilities services (cleaning, office supplies, building maintenance etc)
  • Filing, archiving, document management
  • Special guest logistics support – ensuring guests navigate the facility successfully
  • Coordinate catering and refreshments
  • Prepare conference rooms and ensure that the room is cleared following the visit
  • General housekeeping – stock office materials and supplies, cleaning materials and kitchen supplies (tea, coffee, milk etc)
  • Coordinate / handle cleaning and landscaping contracts, book contractor repairs for facilities services (ie. booking contractor repairs to HVAC, appliances, elevator and plumbing)
  • Develop strong relationships with local vendors and service providers, make suggestions to management if a change in vendor is required / desirable
  • Liaise with other Administrative and HR departments, support managers / technical leaders as required
  • What are the Requirements?

  • 2+ years of relevant administrative experience
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Must be well-organized, with a keen eye for detail
  • Must be computer-savvy, with strong skills pertaining to Microsoft Suites, preference for individuals who pick up on new technology & systems quickly
  • Process-improvement mindset
  • Post-secondary education preferred
