Job description

Our large Oil & Gas industry client is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to develop reports and dashboards for a Retail division .

This is an initial contract to the end of year with a possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be based in Calgary and agreeable to working full-time onsite in the heart of downtown Calgary and provide their own laptop / device upon offer.

Must-Haves :

7+ years' experience in Power BI reports and dashboard development
Strong expertise in SQL, DAX, and data modeling for multi-dimensional and tabular models
Proven experience creating dynamic, user-friendly dashboards and reports in Power BI Desktop (open to SSRS, Power BI Report Builder experience)
Familiarity with Databricks and Azure data workspace

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop.

Utilize SQL and DAX to build robust data models and deliver accurate insights.

Connect and integrate data from Databricks and other backend systems.

Optimize performance of Power BI datasets and reports for scalability and efficiency.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into impactful visualizations.
