Job Title: Production Line Assembler

Job Description

Join our team as a Production Line Assembler, where you will be responsible for assembling and packaging natural gas and liquid propane boilers. This role requires a mechanically inclined individual who can work efficiently on the production line and adapt to various tasks, including packaging. You will be assembling three different versions of boilers, utilizing both hand and power tools, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install components on the production line using hand and power tools, such as screwdrivers and drills.
• Pick parts for production from bins and ensure quality control before passing items to the next station.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, performing tasks such as standing, bending, lifting, twisting, and crouching.
• Move boilers from the production line to pallets, package them securely, and use a pallet jack to transport skids to the shipping area.
• Maintain a clean and tidy surrounding area and adhere to safety protocols.

Essential Skills

• Experience in packaging, assembly, or general labor work within a manufacturing facility.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Clear English communication skills for following written and verbal instructions.
• Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds repetitively.
• Ability to work in hot environments, with temperatures reaching up to 35 degrees in the summer.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3-6 months of experience on an assembly line or in industrial manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing environments.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Work Environment

The work environment requires wearing PPE, including steel-toe work boots and long-sleeve shirts. The production floor can be hot in the summer, reaching temperatures up to 35 degrees, with fans running to maintain comfort. The atmosphere is bright, clean, and can be noisy due to power tools. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch and opportunities for overtime for regular employees. The team consists of 55 members, including 35 in assembly.
