Aramark is Hiring Cooks for the Manic-5 Food Service Operation

Aramark offers 14 days on / 14 days off rotation schedule.

Employees are provided with meals, private accommodation, and access to washer and dryer facilities.

Aramark also offers a transportation allowance as well as a highly competitive group benefits package.

Position: First Cook and Third Cook

Location: Manic-5

Salary: $22.41 to $26.26 per hour, depending on the position

Job Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food items in accordance with production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Prepare the daily menu.
• Manage kitchen operations, including staff supervision, inventory management, and ordering supplies as required.
• Respond effectively to operational needs and adapt to service priorities.
• Set up workstations with all required ingredients and equipment. Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, cutting, and peeling food items.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and maintain a positive attitude toward guests, consumers, clients, and colleagues.
• Ensure the quality of food services and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by cleaning and maintaining the workstation.

Qualifications

• Culinary diploma or equivalent experience is considered an asset.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in food service or the restaurant industry.
• Strong culinary knowledge and skills are considered an asset.
• Experience working in a remote camp environment is considered an asset.
• MAPAQ certification is considered an asset.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety programs.
• Follow all established safety regulations and procedures.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.

The successful candidate for this position will be required to complete and successfully pass a criminal background check and a vulnerable sector check (if required by the operation). If hired, employment with Aramark will be conditional upon Aramark's satisfaction that the candidate has successfully met these requirements.

The pay range for this position is $22.41 - $26.26.
