What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Lead and manage a team of field-based Safety Professionals in providing health and safety advisory and support during construction execution
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of safety programs aligned with project goals
- Provide subject matter expertise on safety systems, including contractor safety management and performance monitoring
- Develop effective corrective actions following safety events or observations
- Contribute to the strategic goals and initiatives of the Projects Safety team
What is Required (Qualifications)
- University degree, diploma, or certification in Occupational Health (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 7 years of professional work experience, preferably in heavy industrial construction safety within the Oil and Gas sector
- Proven experience leading field-based contracted safety teams on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of contractor safety management systems and performance metrics
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentorship skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Knowledge of basic project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of hazard management, including energy-based hazards
- Demonstrated ability to analyze safety events and implement corrective actions
