Job Title: MachinistJob DescriptionAs a Machinist, you will be responsible for installing tooling on numerically controlled equipment to machine parts to precise tolerances. You will follow program instructions and diagrams to set up fixtures, outline tooling, and determine the sequence of operations. Additionally, you will select and load part programs for machine runs and maintain accurate transactions in the ERP system. You will make necessary adjustments to equipment and programs, load and unload parts, and monitor operations to ensure proper machine functioning. Periodic checks of parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring devices are required. You will also assist in equipment maintenance and servicing, read and interpret blueprints, train other employees, and support other departments as needed.
Responsibilities

- Follow program instructions and diagrams for setup, including setting fixtures and outlining tooling.
- Select and load appropriate part programs for machine runs.
- Maintain accurate and timely transactions in the ERP system.
- Make necessary adjustments to equipment and programs.
- Load and unload parts to and from machines, ensuring proper machine functioning.
- Check parts periodically to verify conformance to specifications using precision measuring devices.
- Assist in maintaining and servicing equipment as directed.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Train other employees and assist in other departments as required.
- Initiate actions to prevent problems and document quality issues.
- Contribute to problem solutions and verify implementation of solutions.
- Control further processing when a problem is identified.
- Protect the environment and prevent pollution, analyzing areas for correction or improvement.
Essential Skills- 1-3 years of related CNC machinist experience.
- Ability to work on repetitive tasks.
- Ability to follow blueprints and tooling sheets.
- Make minor adjustments on programs.
- Experience with CNC Lathe, machining, CNC setup, inspection, and CNC machining.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Forklift experience is a plus, training available if necessary.

Work Environment
The work environment is a spacious 80,000 sqft shop and office, very clean with machines around the shop, divided into half machine shop and half assembly. The facility includes 3 paint booths, an enclosed welding shop, lunch and training rooms, and is environmentally conscious. You will work directly with a lead, supervisor, and other employees within a team of 12-30 machinists. There is the opportunity to work on the afternoon shift, which is smaller with 12 people. The current opening is for the afternoon shift, with training potentially on the AM shift. Work hours are Monday to Thursday, 2pm to 12am, with paid lunch and coffee breaks.
