Job description

Primary Scope of Role :

  • Ensure all projects are planned and executed within scope & schedule.
  • Report progress, resource requirements, and escalate issues to the Project Manager
  • Perform project using appropriate human and capital resources, tools, and techniques.
  • Ensure adherence to all required safety plans (site specific plans, traffic plans, OHSA, etc.)
  • Ensure safety of crew members and follow all required safety documentation.
  • Create reports required by the Project Manager (i.e. : Daily Work Records, Timesheets, Production Reports, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of GIP Interpaving Limited Health & Safety Policy Program.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Position Requirements :

  • Civil Engineering background considered an asset.
  • Knowledge and Experience in Road Construction
  • Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System and best practices within areas of responsibility.
  • Knowledge of the applications of Book 7 of the Ontario Traffic Manual (OTM)
  • Must be physically capable of operating a vehicle safely, possess a valid driver's license, and have an acceptable driving record.
  • Technical construction, surveying, and analytical skills
