Job description
Hi! My name's Natalie and I'm looking for someone who can work Monday to Friday from 1:30 to 5 pm. You'll need to have a driver's license so you can pick up our kids from school in addition to doing house work. We have some flexibility if you want to do 4 days per week or work 1 or 2 mornings instead of afternoons. Here's the main things we would want you to do: 1) Food prep (ie. chopping and getting foods ready so we can cook them ourselves each evening), 2) Cleaning the kitchen (dishes, pots and pans, etc.) 3) Laundry and other household cleaning. 4) Picking up our kids from school using our car (it is about a 5 minute drive) and feeding our kids a snack when you get home We live close to Bathurst and Bloor in downtown Toronto. About you: Ideally you enjoy detail work and also cooking/being in the kitchen - you pride yourself on following instructions really well and also not being afraid to ask if you are unsure about something. Eventually, once you learn our expectations, we would expect you can do all your daily chores with much more independence. While we will always write down a 'to -do' list for the day, you will ideally be able to remember the daily routines without prompting (such as sweeping, cleaning the water filter, taking out garbage, dishes, cleaning the stovetop, etc). It's also important that you are comfortable around kids. We have a 7 and 10 year old that we want you to pick up from school, feed a snack, and who you'll generally watch for about an hour while they play mostly independently and you continue to help around the house. Also, a small point but we ask that you don't wear any perfumes/scented lotions in our household. About Us: We are a family of 4. My husband, Michael, works for an environmental nonprofit and works from home. I'm a Naturopathic Doctor, working 2 days per week in the office and from home the other days. We have 2 kids - a 10 year old boy and a 7 year old girl. We don't have any pets. We live in a semi-detached house with open concept main floor. We are passionate about organic food and conscious of pollutants in our environment - we will provide all the cleaning supplies (eco-friendly ... we use a lot of the stuff your grandmother did - like vinegar and baking soda!)
