We are a family of five, living in Edmonton, with children aged 5 and 2.
We are seeking a household helper / nanny to assist with a combination of household tasks and childcare.
The primary focus will be on household cleaning and organizing, with weekly cleaning duties, including :
General cleaning : Dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors. Bathrooms.
Surface cleaning : Wiping down countertops, cleaning appliances, and keeping common areas tidy.
Tidying children's rooms : Keeping bedrooms organized, making beds, and putting away toys and clothes.
Laundry : Washing, folding, including steam ironing if needed.
In addition to weekly cleaning, you will assist with daily meal prep :
Meal assistance : Helping with family dinners, including simple meal prep, setting the table, and cleaning up after meals.
Errands will be on an as-needed basis and may include tasks like light grocery shopping, or car cleaning if comfortable.
Though household tasks are the priority, there will be some childcare responsibilities, such as :
Supervising the children during light playtime or activities.
Assisting with bath time or bedtime routines.
Helping with occasional school pick-ups or drop-offs.
Typical hours are late afternoons and early evenings on weekdays, with regular Saturday mornings. There may be occasional extra hours as needed, for example, when one parent is traveling.
