Job description

The Organization :  Le réseau SADC and CAE are non-profit organizations that have been working for over 40 years to promote economic development in Quebec's regions.  Le réseau SADC and CAE includes 57 SADC and 10 CAE, employing over 350 professionals and 500 volunteers who support innovative projects and businesses aimed at creating prosperous communities. Every year, they assist and finance over 10,000 businesses and more than 1,500 local projects.  Role Context : In order to support the development of the organization under its new business model and strengthen the capacity of the 67 SADC+CAE in Quebec, the Network seeks to integrate a dynamic leader to help achieve its ambitious goals of growth, recognition, and solidarity. Joining the existing team, the Director of Support Services will contribute their expertise and leadership skills. They will be responsible for fostering the organizational development of the 67 SADC+CAE and the professional growth of staff and board members while ensuring their clear understanding of the mandates and objectives related to the three lines of business : local economic development, technical support, and financing.  Key Challenges :  Structure the Network's support to le réseau SADC and CAEMaintain and strengthen coherence and solidarity within the Network  Main Responsibilities :  Define and implement a needs assessment approach for training and support focused on the three business lines of le réseau SADC and CAEDesign and deliver tailored training tools and programs to meet the needs of membersSupport and guide the 67 general managers of le réseau SADC and CAE and their boards of directors in understanding and executing their mandatesEstablish exchange groups, encourage interaction and engagement to improve practices, as well as technical, interpersonal, and leadership skillsMobilize members to find common solutions to collective issuesContribute to the review of the business model of le réseau SADC and CAE Required Education and Experience :  Bachelor's degree in administration or a related field (relevant experience may compensate for the lack of a degree)At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in the fieldAt least 5 years of experience serving on the board of an NPOBilingualism required : fluency in both spoken and written French and English  Desired Skills and Qualities :  In-depth knowledge of the role and functions of an SADC+CAE or similar economic development organizationExcellent communication skillsPolitical acumenStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work within a small team with minimal direction and supervisionProficiency in Microsoft Office suite  Additional Benefits :  Competitive salaryComprehensive group insuranceAccess to a generous group RRSP program with employer contributionsGenerous vacation days and summer scheduleOption for remote work and a lump sum allowance for necessary equipmentSupplied work computerAnnual $600 mobile phone allowanceWork-life balance-focused environmentActive participation in local economic development of communities
