About the position :

Join our dynamic multi-disciplined team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our products. We develop and manufacture sophisticated automated packaging machinery which require endless problem solving and future-proofing. Your contributions will encompass electrical design, ladder logic programming, and crafting intuitive human interfaces, as well as creating supporting documents like software architecture and timing charts. Most importantly, you’ll be hands-on the product during validation and manufacturing to ensure full-cycle development is fulfilled. Sometimes, you may even travel with the machinery!

Outcomes of this role :

  • Drive technological advancements and tackle packaging machinery challenges by actively contributing to the evolution and enhancement of electrical designs. Your innovative approach doesn't just showcase creativity; it propels the development of highly efficient and reliable electrical systems, positioning you as a critical force in advancing automation within the realm of packaging solutions.
  • Take the lead in programming diverse machine elements, from PLCs and HMIs to SCADA systems, pushing technology forward and ensuring seamless operations. This hands-on role empowers you to fine-tune performance, paving the way for top-notch reliability in every product.
  • Utilize your expertise to craft procedures and define programming parameters for various electrical instruments, becoming the go-to expert across departments. Your impact spans Production, Services, Purchasing, and Sales, as you efficiently troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, playing a vital role in solving challenges within packaging automation.
  • As a key player in upholding essential standards, validate system and component capabilities through rigorous testing methods. Your unwavering commitment to quality ensures the delivery of high-quality, reliable products that consistently surpass industry standards. This dedication solidifies your position as a visionary leader at the forefront of advancing technology and quality assurance in packaging automation.

Other things we look for :

  • 2-5 years of pertinent experience
  • Degree in electrical engineering, electronics or automation
  • Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment facing constant changing priorities
  • Experience with Omron, Weintek, SolidWorks Electrical, C / C# / Python, Github and Wrike would be an asset
  • Regulatory experience (CSA, UL, CE, PHSR, USDA), an asset
