Mail Clerk

What is in it for you:
• Hourly salary of $17.60.
• Contract duration: 4 months.
• Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
• Location: on-site position in Waterloo, Ontario.
Responsibilities:
• Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and courier deliveries in a timely manner.
• Process outgoing mail and courier shipments accurately and within required timelines for customers and advisors.
• Handle and distribute cheques, contracts, and statements accurately to internal and external customers.
• Use web-based systems and internal mainframe systems to obtain client information and mailing instructions.
• Maintain email inboxes and respond to email inquiries, scanning requests, and print requests in a timely and accurate manner.
• Conduct investigations to obtain updated addresses for customers.
• Investigate and resolve inquiries.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as required.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal partners.
• Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, provide information, and address concerns.
• Answer telephone calls, direct calls, and take messages.
• Compile, copy, sort, and file records related to office activities and business transactions.
• Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, including records and reports.
• Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems.
What you will need to succeed:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of customer service or data entry related work experience.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail to prevent privacy incidents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to use computer applications and work with web-based systems and internal databases.
• Ability to organize and maintain confidential information.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.
