We constantly strive towards making our programs and services more responsive to the needs and expectations of Nova Scotians.

The Financial Services Division of Service Nova Scotia provides corporate financial support through four key teams: Payroll Services, Operational Accounting, Performance Excellence, and Collection Services. Within this division, Payroll Services provides service to the Province’s departments, agencies, and other government units, as well as the retirees of three government pension plans. You will provide business systems analysis and support and implement system configuration changes/upgrades to ensure all business processes and practices are compliant with corporate (Province of Nova Scotia) policies, applicable Collective Agreements, and provincial and federal payroll legislation.

You are also responsible for the integrity of all financial and third-party postings that originate from the SAP HR/Payroll system and the monitoring and reconciliation of all payroll-related GL accounts contributing to the accurate and timely recording of payroll data and information in the Corporate Financial Management System (SAP).The Analyst is also responsible for the production and filing of 88,000+ tax slips annually and related adjustments (amendments) throughout the year.
