JOB DESCRIPTION
As a vital part of our facility operations team, our Cleaning Services team plays an essential behind-the-scenes role in creating a welcoming, world-class environment for every guest who walks through our doors.
Reporting to the Cleaning Services Supervisors, this casual on-call position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our award-winning venue, from meeting rooms and tradeshow floors to washrooms, offices, escalators, elevators, and parking areas across both our North and South buildings.
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES
- Perform floor cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, operating walk-behind scrubbers, hand mops, and ride-on floor vacuums.
- Clean and sanitize washrooms, including floors, common surfaces, toilets, and replenishing supplies.
- Collect and remove garbage from designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas such as the cafeteria, security office, administrative offices, stairways, parking and dock areas, washrooms, and theatre spaces.
- Complete special cleaning tasks as required, including vent cleaning, floor scrubbing, wall washing, high dusting, and operating power or pressure washers.
- Safely operate cleaning equipment and tools, including pneumatic wet vacuums, walk-behind vacuums, carts, bins, brooms, and various cleaning supplies.
JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 1-year previous cleaning experience.
- Ability to perform repetitive lifting and carrying of heavy loads (up to 50lbs).
- Handle large volume garbage removal and extensive cleaning tasks such as vacuuming and mopping for long periods.
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods and cleaning public washrooms.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English fluently
- A pleasant and courteous demeanor, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Strong team-building skills to effectively work in a collaborative work environment
