JOB PURPOSE :
The Producer Services Manager is responsible for leadership of the Producer Services team and the development and implementation of the departmental strategic plan. This role is responsible for identifying and implementing improvements that will improve the financial results of the company and its members. This role is responsible for managing the 3P / Conestoga member / owner supply relationship and the team to ensure that plant production schedules and supply requirements are met.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS / ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES :
Responsible for creation of the annual business plan and budget for the departmentResponsible for departmental 3-year strategy development and implementationPresent monthly producer performance metrics to the Board of DirectorsAnalyzing plant performance data to identify and work with producers to improve their meat quality, herd health and animal husbandry practicesBased on experience, operational metrics and barn visit data, identify and implement opportunities to improve the financial results of the company and its membersLead Producer Advisory Committee to review and make recommendations that improve the financial results of the company and its membersUsing industry relationships, bring potential partnerships to the Producer Advisory Committee team for considerationLead and coach direct reports ensuring accountability for performance and development towards future growthParticipating in a cross functional team for the planning of weekend production and keeping our plant full throughout the yearSourcing hogs outside of the membership when requiredCommunicating with Farmers, Barn team members, Operations, Board of Directors, and Industry expertsParticipate and represent Conestoga at Industry events and showsHold members accountable to the rules and requirements of the co-opEnsure compliance with our humane hog handling requirementsManage the logistics of hog scheduling and deliveryParticipate in industry teams to address things such as ASF preparednessRecommend incentives or demerits to set clear expectations with our members and improve our hog supplyPersonal Development

University degree in Business or AgricultureMinimum 5 - 7 years' experience leading a teamExperience leveraging data and technology to improve business performanceExperience developing and implementing strategic plans for a departmentDemonstrated ability to be diplomatic, professional and adaptable in dealing with varied audiencesDemonstrated ability to deal with sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentialityKEY COMPETENCIES
